Objective and Scope

The Mathematics Conference organized by the Bangladesh Mathematical Society is an inclusive event that covers all areas of Pure and Applied Mathematics. This year, the conference is scheduled in February 6-7, 2025, at BUET in Dhaka. Everyone interested in Mathematics and related fields is warmly invited to participate. The theme of the conference is "Mathematics drives innovation in Science, Engineering and Technology".


The objective of the conference is to thoroughly examine and discuss the current state of research and advancements across various domains of Pure and Applied Mathematics. It is expected that the exchange of ideas and experiences, coupled with engaging discussions among experts, researchers, and educators will greatly contribute to paving a clear path toward a constructive and productive future for Mathematics in Bangladesh and beyond.


The conference will consist of plenary sessions, contributed papers and posters. Topics of interest include but not limited to:

Call for Papers

Call for Papers

Participants wishing to present contributions are requested to submit abstract of their papers. The presentation time for plenary session papers will be 45 minutes and that for contributed papers will be 15 minutes. The abstract must reach the Member Secretary of the Scientific and Publication Committee by January 8, 2025. Abstracts should be sent to: mathconference2024@gmail.com

A F Mujibur Rahman Foundation

A F Mujibur Rahman Foundation

A F Mujibur Rahman Foundation was founded 1985 as a charitable trust by the late Mr. Rezaur Rahman FCA, a Founder-Partner of Rahman Rahman Huq, in honor of his late father Mr. A F Mujibur Rahman. The Foundation is engaged in a wide range of charitable activities but its primary focus has so far been the patronage and encouragement of Mathematics education through the "A F Mujibur Rahman Foundation Award for Excellence in Mathematics", given across quite a number of public Universities in Bangladesh. A F Mujibur Rahman served about 22 years in different places of undivided Bengal and Assam. He also acted as a district judge of Dhaka in 1929-1931. He died on12 May 1945.
