Dr. Nasrin is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET).
Prof. Nasrin has completed Post Doc. from UM Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC), Higher Institution Centre of Excellence (HICoE), University of Malaya, Malaysia. She has obtained her Ph.D. and M. Phil. from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology. Dr. Nasrin has also received Dean's Award 2001 for her outstanding achievement in B.Sc. in Mathematics from University of Dhaka. She works in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics, Heat-Mass Transfer, Blood Flow, Nanofluid Flow, Photovoltaic, Photovoltaic Thermal, Solar Thermal.

Prof. Nasrin is a computational fluid dynamicist who works on fluid flows, magnetohydrodynamics flows, heat-mass transfer, mathematical modeling of chemical reactor and heat exchanger. She is an applied mathematician who researches on numerical analysis, transport in porous medium, numerical modeling in single/hybrid nanofluid flows and hemodynamic blood flows. For conducting simulation, She uses Finite Difference Method (FDM), Finite Element Method (FEM) with the help of simulation package LAHEY Fortran and COMSOL Multyphysics. Currently, Dr. Nasrin focuses on solar collector, solar PV, PVT, PVT/PCM system, electrical power, thermal energy storage, energy efficiency, efficiency improvement.
Prof. Dr. Nasrin is continuing her research in CFD and heat transfer. AD Scientific Index 2021 has been published based on citation, i-index, h-index in Google Scolar profile of scientists all over the world. Dr. Nasrin is enlisted as 14 position out of 120 in her university, 142 out of 1597 in her country, 29546 out of 146033 in Asia and 185259 out of 700256 in World.
